A Place to Bare Your Mind
Many people mix up envy with jealousy, so I’m going to pause and borrow this definition “envy is the emotion of coveting what someone else has, while jealousy is the emotion related to fear that something you have will be taken away by someone else”.
Now, I’ve always regarded jealousy as a natural emotional reaction. I can unashamedly say I love wholeheartedly and can get jealous if my partner gives me a reason to be (lol). As a matter of fact, I don’t like dramas that makes me jealous, I’d just rather not have it!
For someone like me, jealousy comes with love terrain. As a matter of fact, the only time I remember not being jealous in a relationship when I had cause to be, was because I had stopped loving, and therefore couldn’t care less or be bothered in any way.
However, I’ve seen and heard of many people in relationships who seem to be really “in love” with their partners, but never get jealous even when they have cause to be.
I can’t help but wonder, is it really possible to love without being jealous?
